About Us

A Gurdwara is best understood as a hub for the Sikh community and a sacred space for our spiritual and social practices. The key focus of a Gurdwara is the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the Sikh’s holy scripture. Sikhs gather at the Gurdwara for daily prayers, celebrations of Sikh festivals and key milestones including initiation ceremony, marriages, and final rites. A Gurdwara also offers langar, opportunities for learning, and conducting seva.

Sri Guru Nanak Sikh Centre Brampton is privileged to serve the Sikh community through two Gurdwaras located in Brampton, Ontario.

Our journey began in 1995 with the opening of Sri Guru Nanak Sikh Centre Brampton at 99 Glidden Road, made possible by the grace of Waheguru and the support of the Sangat. Over the years, we have established a variety of programs to nurture spiritual growth and provide community support. These programs include Gurmat and Punjabi classes, holiday Gurmat Camps, as well as extracurricular activities such as Karate, Wrestling, Gatka, and more.

In response to the growing needs of our community, we expanded in 2008 by establishing Sikh Sangat Brampton at 32 Regan Road. This second Gurdwara was strategically located to be easily accessible, allowing the Sangat to attend services by foot, public transit, or car.

We are a registered charity in Ontario, Canada.
